Allow me to echo that with a nice ‘WTF?’
To wit: WTF?

Definitely inside baseball for CBC types. Here’s what I was referring to:

They’ve launched a new “employee portal” called iO!, where news for staff is published in a less formal manner than the thousands of All Staff e-mails we used to get. Good idea. But for now – in addition to commandeering our browser homepages (easily rectified) – they continue to send out nearly empty e-mails that just say “we wrote something! go to the new portal to read it!”… very irritating.

Hilarious. And less annoying than the original, you’ll be glad to know.

Hopefully Io9 doesn’t get its panties in a twist about it.

I am not the only one annoyed by this. The result : i don’t read the corporate communications as often. I hate to make an extra clic to get to the info. If they want me to read the info, it should be right there in the email. Or maybe we should be able to subscribe to the corpo news by RSS feed. Yep, this would be useful if it doesn’t exist already (does it?).

Groupwise doesn’t do much, but at least it’ll let me filter on “Corporate Communications” and “iO!” send it directly to the trash.
